Please Remember Rambo and Harly With a Donation

Rambo was an 8yr old Doberman Pinscher who was taken in the prime of his life by a hemangiosarcoma in his heart. Rambo was a Breed Grand Champion, Performance titled, Register Of Merit dog who gave his owner immense joy with a creative outlet in the sport of Canine Freestyle Dance. When he walked into a room you just knew he was a class act.

The evening before a Canine Freestyle Dance competition Rambo died suddenly with his owner by his side. He succumbed to the "ticking time bomb" in his heart, hemangiosarcoma. A necropsy confirmed this beyond any doubt.

The Canine Freestyle group that Rambo and his owner trained with has created the “Rising Star” award. It will be presented each year at the Star Spangled Swing titling event in Beltsville, MD to an outstanding participant that is new to the sport of Canine Freestyle. This is in honor of Rambo, the Rising Star who fell too soon.

Another Doberman who was taken too soon from hemangiosarcoma is Harly. He was 5yrs old with a bright future in Agility and Protection Training. Dearly loved by his owner, Harly died in her arms while being rushed to a veterinary EMG clinic from an Agility Trial. Again, that ticking time bomb in the heart took him without any warning signs.

The death of these two beautiful strong dogs has emotionally affected numerous people who knew and loved them and their owners. Many of them have asked how to best memorialize them. We feel a donation to this research fund will help find the cause of hemangiosarcoma whether it be genetic, environmental, pathologic, or idiopathic.
