October 2016

Dear Dog Lover:

For more than 20 years, the AKC Canine Health Foundation (CHF) has worked to improve the health and well-being of all dogs. Your support of CHF's mission enables our funded researchers to better understand the genetic cause of disease, improve treatment options, and make long-term impacts in veterinary medicine and biomedical research.

We could not make these important strides in canine health research without you, and we are grateful to count you as a friend of the Foundation.

Part of the Foundation's mission is built around educational outreach and our efforts to provide reliable information about canine health research to dog lovers like you.  One way we do this is through our very popular webinar series, produced in conjunction with our partner, VetVine. The series currently contains seven episodes, which are all available to watch on demand. The next webinar in this series features Dr. Timothy R. Fan who will discuss cancer vaccines and immunotherapy. We hope you will join us on Tuesday, October 18 at 8:00 p.m.,EDT, for this exciting educational opportunity. Free registration is required, and details can be found below.

As someone who is committed to the health of dogs, we encourage you to share information about CHF with people who are equally passionate about dogs. Please consider forwarding this e-newsletter so they can learn more about CHF and possibly join you in supporting excellence in canine health research.

As an added incentive, during 2016, the American Kennel Club (AKC) is generously matching all donations to the AKC Canine Health Foundation from new and lapsed donors (last gift 12/31/2013). This is a great way to double your impact and benefit all dogs!

As always, we appreciate your support and your commitment to canine health research.

Happy Autumn!
