CHF Surpasses $8 Million in Cancer Research Funding
Since 1995 the AKC Canine Health Foundation (CHF) has funded nearly $8.3 million in canine cancer research. This research has provided breakthroughs in treatment options and diagnosis and has helped scientists study cancer at the cellular level, allowing veterinarians to diagnose cancer earlier and treat it more effectively. CHF-funded research has a broad impact, extending beyond dogs to having application to human cancer diagnosis and treatment. View current cancer research projects.
Recently, CHF-funded research at Texas A&M University has been making national news. Watch the video now!
Honor or Memorialize Your Dog
The AKC Canine Health Foundation has several ways for you to honor or memorialize a dog that has faced cancer. These tributes also help the Foundation futher our mission to prevent, treat and cure canine disease. The Celebration Wall is an online photo gallery memorializing canine friends. If you would like to set up a personal fundraising page to tell your dog's story and raise funds from family and friends, visit the Heroes for Health Research section of our website.
